Turner House by Max Pritchard Architects

The subdivision formed by the relocation of a school provided the site for this economical suburban house. A linear steel and timber framed pavilion is sited on the south side of the allotment to maximize access to winter sun for passive heating and to open up indoor areas to a shaded, terraced garden. The house steps down to follow the slope of the land minimizing cut and avoiding soil disturbance. Exterior cladding and roof is corrugated steel.
