YER Fan by Friso Dijkstra
YER is a minimal design created by Netherlands-based designer Friso Dijkstra. The project was debuted at the Mavra café in Istanbul, and was inspired by traditional seating places. The word “YER” stands for place, ground, or local. The project was developed in collaboration with Borre Akkersdijk for the SALON/Istanbul show during the 2012 Istanbul Biennial.
