Summit Peak Log Bunk Bed

The aspen logs, used in the furniture, are harvested as dead standing wood from the forests in the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains of Utah, no logs are ever cut from live trees. The aspen logs are then hand selected, specifically for an individual piece of furniture. Some of the aspen logs are considered "extra gnarly." Extra Gnarly pieces of aspen are art in their own way-some have been chewed on by elk or deer while others have an extreme amount of knots that give them added character. Additionally, some have 'pictures' drawn on them by the roots of small plants and other organisms that lived on the tree.
