OMI lamp by Naomi Paul

Naomi Paul is a British textile maker that uses sustainable material in her designs. The OMI lamp is made from recycled cotton and silk that is crocheted by hand to make a hanging pendant lamp. Crochet is the french term meaning hook; Crocheting is a process of creating fabric using a special crochet hook. The method consists of pulling loops through other loops while incorporating a wrapping technique. This differs from traditional grandma knitting in that only one stitch is active at one time.
