Vintage French Ultra Lamex Chain Mail Butchers Apron

Very rare vintage French metal butcher's apron. This apron once had a utilitarian function by protecting French butchers from injury. Today, health standards in France do not allow for their use, and these objects eventually disappeared or were recycled.

Display it on a wall as sculpture or choose to wear it for a special occasion. The apron was made by Ultra Lamex from small aluminum plates that are connected by stainless steel rings, which gives the apron flexibility.

Overall in excellent condition. 26"l x 21"w. Adjustable canvas shoulder and waist straps.
