Conception for the idea to connect the two waterways dates as far back as 1919, but this wondrous bridge did not open until just under a decade ago in October of 2003. Boasting the record for world’s longest navigable aqueduct, the Magdeburg Water Bridge reaches a total length of 3,012 feet.
