Villa Gingerbread : Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye

Villa Gingerbread : Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye

The Villa Gingerbread was conceived of as an edible architectural model. The Maker Bakers made all the gingerbread and frosting from scratch. Plans, sections, and templates were printed at a scale of 1/4″ to 1′-0″. The gingerbread was rolled into sheets, baked and cut to measurement from templates. The piloti were created from candy canes. Some cookies were born out of the process as well.
