The New Old Town Hall, East Hampton,
An impressive adaptive-reuse project, the New Old Town Hall, as some call it, is an apt reflection of the community's identity. The four houses—actually two houses and two barns is an assemblage of four historic ones ranging in age from the mid-18th to the mid-19th century. The buildings were donated by Adelaide de Menil and Ted Carpenter and the complex was planned and the structures renovated by Robert A.M. Stern.
