Adzuki House by Horibe Naoko Architect Office

The Adzuki House, a three-storey abode developed by Horibe Naoko Architect Office, peacefully resides in Himeji-Shi, Japan. The seasonal transformation of the trees colors in the courtyard can be viewed from each room including a large window sash in the corridor. Home owners can enjoy the altering open spaces as the split level floor and open ceiling combine with an expansion in both horizontal and vertical directions. A reddish brown (aduzuki) hue encases the outer wall Galvalume steel plate as the plaster walls and solid oak wooden floor inside were used to match the furniture.
