Handcrafted Jarra wood sink by Arch11

In the powder room of a 4,800 square foot LEED Gold certified home in Boulder, Colorado, this sink was handcrafted from Jarra wood. A fast-growing, durable Australian Eucalyptus species, Jarra was selected not only for its color, but also in homage to the husband’s home country. Boulder, Colo.-based firm Arch11 used the wood throughout the home, which has a smaller carbon footprint than the 1,600-square foot A-frame that was demolished to build it. The home’s less-is-more Zen-vibe kitchen won the biennial Sub-Zero and Wolf Kitchen Design Competition.
