Low Chairs Family by Jovana Bogdanovic

Jovana Bogdanovic, a Serbian designer who now lives and works in Hangzhou, China, has created the “Low Chairs Family.” The work was inspired by her move to China and the stereotypes and misconceptions people have about other countries. Bogdanovi had initially thought Asian seating priviledged low and crouching postures, only to be proven wrong by her actual experience in China. The table and chairs of the “Low Chairs Family” are deceptively low and are made appealing and comfortable by their large, soft cushions.
