Düsseldorf by Atelier Bruno Erpicum and Partners

Düsseldorf is considered the hub of Germany’s fashion industry so it’s no surprise to find contemporary architecture and unique homes in a city focused on art and culture. One couple that has a passion for contemporary architecture created a modern living space out of some of Düsseldorf’s ruins. They converted a factory that survived damage from World War II bombings and with some creative home design; the couple was able to preserve beauty of the factory by creating a glass façade that stands independently from the old structure. Inside the house, the modern living can be seen in the gloss painted furniture designed by architect Bruno Erpicum reflects the structural elements in this modern house. The living room has also been arranged between the pilasters from the factory can be displayed with pride.
