Lantern- Welcoming City Center

As part of the program of the Cultural capital of Europe, Norwegian Wood aimed at realizing a series of exemplary building projects through International Architectural competitions. The “Lantern” won the first place and was designed by French and Norwegian team AWP + Atelier Oslo. The pavilion is a shelter for different types of activities; a meeting point, a market place and a place for concerts and performances. It also represents the ancient Norwegian architecture.
