At their core they believe timeless furniture built to last a lifetime is a cornerstone of true sustainability. As a result their material selection and their building process are vitally important aspects of their designs. Borrowing from Michael Pollan's addage that "no food should have more than five ingredients", JL Miller builds furniture from only a small collection of truly green materials: recycled steel, certified North American lumber, and no-VOC PureBond plywood. If that weren't enough, J.L. Miller Company is also proud to be a member of "One Percent for the Planet," an organization that encourages businesses to give back to programs that preserve and restore the natural environment around the world.
