MARIO HANDLE designs the "WHITE-RUST" low energy house
The White Rust House near Innsbruck/Austria, is a white box that is lifted over a rusty/glassy ground floor. The name reflects one of the main motives of the project - that is the contrast between the white cladding of the wood-box and the rusted black steel that covers the concrete ground floor. The building is very energy efficient -> needing about 35kWh/qm/year -> the house was finished in 2007
